I have just started the process of running my own home-based catering business. I’m only planning on small events such as baby/wedding showers, birthdays, etc. Nothing for hundreds of people just yet. Can anyone give me a list of recommended equipment I may need to get started? Do catering businesses still use chafing dishes?I should specify…what serving equipment would be needed? I already have cooking equipment…lol.
INSURANCE and sales tax license from your state. Your kitchen will need to be licensed as well and you should check with any city laws your city might have. Some do not allow home businesses in the home.
A kitchen, some cutlery if baking cookie cutters, graters, um normal stuff from kitchens really and dnt forget your ingredients…
